OK, so I'm not always original... @ 11:22 pm
...and I freely admit I stole this from sansa1970 (*smooches* You always have the coolest stuff!), but it was so much fun and there's still plenty of room for others to play!

A Bit of a Challenge... @ 07:54 pm
...that everyone can play with.
Here's the thing. I like collecting quotes, whether funny or profound, although I tend to collect more humour than philosophy. Below the cut are three of my favourites (and believe me, it was hard to pick just three), all humour, all ones that endangered my monitor.
What are yours? The only 'rules' I have are that they be from the Harry Potter-verse, that they be one quote, not a 'conversation', if you will, and that you let us know from what story and author it's taken. I don't care about pairing, or if it's out of context; most of us have already read a bunch of the stories, so I'm thinking we might already know, or it might be an excuse to find new ones. What I'm interested in is what made you laugh, or made you tear-up, or say every author's dream, "Wow!"
ETA: You might want to read the comments as well because there's some doozies in them and I'm adding more as people respond.
( So, are you up for it? Here's mine! )

The Slytherin voices inside my head have persuaded me to tell you that Should you want to take a break at my last-minute pinch-hit entry to comment and give Team Romance a little point boost, that would be lovely. see, not so hard *Growl* Happy now? good girl.
( So, go! Go now! Here's the final list of all entries and artist interviews... )

So... @ 06:16 pm
...what's the name of the program I can use to migrate my community from that *other* journal to here? And could someone be kind enough to tell me where I can find it as well?
Yeah, I'm really lazy (or so overworked, I haven't the time to look. Hmmm... I 'spose that at least *sounds* better.) *G*
ETA: In case anyone is interested, there is a way to migrate comments and communities, but it involves 'Python' and 'Terminal' whatever those are. My comfort level even trying it is about a -10. I found it here.

New Stand-alone Fic :: Better Late Than Never @ 12:09 am
HP/DM : HP/SS : HP/?? :: 13+ :: Slash :: Angst :: Romance :: Mild Language :: Established Relationships (One between consenting 16 year-olds) :: Word Count 22,000 and change
The year is 2016 and Harry is happily married to Severus Snape. Or is he? When an accident wipes Harry's memories back to a time when Snape was his hated foe and Draco was his lover, Harry finds himself required to make a choice. Does he remarry his husband, or does he answer the siren call of his former lover who has seized this opportunity to win him back? Written for the Two Broomsticks Fall Fic-a-Thon, Prompt 26
For the sake of clarity, this story is completely AU after Order of the Phoenix and contains only one spell from Half Blood Prince (may it burst into flames).
My undying thanks to Delphi, Lydia Lovestruck, and Aseneth, who always make it ever so much better. All remaining errors must be mine.
If you recognize it, it's probably 'hers'. No money, no harm, no foul. This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by JK Rowling and those to whom she has licensed her creations, including without limitation Bloomsbury Books, Scholastic Books, Raincoat Books, and Warner Bros., Inc. No copyright or trademark infringement is intended.

Ficlet :: A Bird in Hand... @ 08:57 pm
Rating: Soft 13+ for 'potty' language
Disclaimer: Yup, mostly JKR's, darn it! No money made, no harm, no foul.
Summary: Harry never can stay out of trouble and discovers something about Snidgets the--mes-mes-messy way. Written in response to nimori's Animagus Challenge : Art and Fic. Based on Snidget artwork by ac1d6urn :: Snidget!Harry. Icon used with permission.
My undying thanks to my kick-ass betas lydialovestruck and aseneth. All remaining mistakes must be mine. Also, special thanks to ac1d6urn for such an amusing, inspiring piece of art.
One last note: We have an O'aho Ele'pa'i'o (which is an endangered warbler) living in our back yard. While I was writing this, he was courting his lady love and the cadence of his song, E-le-pai-o, was so very sweet, I couldn't resist adding his 'song' to the story.

Hmmm... @ 11:16 pm
:) Hi there...
I backdated this entry so I wouldn't bother anyone, but this will make it the first entry in the queue.
After much thought I decided to make this journal friends-locked.
Why? Because despite appearances, I'm a very private person who hasn't a clue what may or may not get posted here, including the stories I write, which (for the most part) should only be read by adults. However, having said that, stories with a rating of 14+ or lower will be made public.
So if you want to friend me, that's fine; chances are very good I'll friend you back. Funny how that works. Anyway, hope to see you soon.
